Canon Pixma MP470 Series - Canon Pixma MP470 is entry-level inkjet all-in-one that produces high-quality prints in a decent print speeds (though the text prints slower). All our multifunctions has been tested, is one of the best produced prints text and graphics. It does have some limitations, such as the inability to use a flash drive with the front mounted USB ports, but overall, we really like this multifunction inkjet. Regular home users who need high quality prints will find their money well spent.

Design

Canon Pixma MP470 using the same basic design as the Pixma MP510. Black and silver body size is 17.7 inches, 13.9 inches deep, and 6.7 inch high. Silver lid hides the A4 size scanner is a flatbed scanner. Due to the lack of automatic document feeder MP470, you can't scan legal size documents.

The main scan allows you to choose between scanning the file to your PC (you can specify where you want to be saved through the tree file), attach the scan to e-mail, scan to PDF, or scanning it into the program. The last option may prove confusing. We are accustomed to choosing a program from the list of options on the printer menu and have the scan results pop open in that program. With the Pixma MP470, scan appears in the Canon MP Navigator EX utilities; You can't teach a scanner to scan to a program like Photoshop or Word. MP Navigator EX utility allows you to edit photos (in the case of scanned images), changing the scan to PDF, attach it to an e-mail, or convert the scan into editable text using optical character recognition software.
